Kathleen Bragg July 5, 1899 - August 26, 1975

She is walking along the creek side between (the Anchorage Inn and Harber Side Gift Shop) (currently). She appears to be walking home after making a house call. It was taken about 1957 by the Red Cross before this area was developed.

Kathleen was employed by the Red Cross to provide health care for the residents of Ocracoke island and was the school nurse. She also delivered many babies on Ocracoke

Note the old wooden skiffs pulled up on the shore, net houses and fish houses then occupied all the dock spaces. Shrimp boats at dock:
