Beatrice Willis Bloxton on modeling assignment with Presidential
Limousine in 1946 or after
Native of Davis, NC, Beatrice Lea Willis (Mrs. Robert
C. Bloxton), working as a model in Washington, D.C.
posing with the 1938 Cadillac Sedan Convertible Presidential Limousine,
Special Fleetwood Job #9006,
used by THREE PRESIDENTS: Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, and
Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Her sister-in-law, Betty Bloxton, told me that Mother borrowed her new
blue dress to wear in the photograph, and Mother addressed the photograph
"To Donna & Bobby, Love, Mother", so it was probably taken
after Bobby was born on October 16, 1945 -- her tummy was nice and flat,
and it was "summery" outside, so it was probably taken in
1946 or even after that.
